To Rent or Not to Rent?
That is the question...
Or at least it is for us. Because we're unsure of exactly where it is we want to finally "hang our hats" we still have a lot of roadbummin' to do. ***For the sake of brevity, anytime I refer to "RV" in this blog, I mean to include all classes, as well as, the many van styles that are available.***
I am finding that renting an RV may be a really good alternative for us as we continue on our journey. When considering the number of areas we still want to visit, combined with the distance between them and then figure in the cost of lodging and/or flights? Renting a "mobile hotel room" is looking better and better.
These days there are a myriad of companies that offer RV rentals and you'll find links to a few of 2022's top rated below. Some only offer their services in particular regions, states or cities but there's more than enough to research nationwide. There are even "style specific" companies. So, if you're a Vintage VW lover, want a mansion on wheels or just want to tow something along... as the "RV" rage grows so are the options!
How much do you want to spend? Consider mileage and of course the price of gas these days! Gas vs Diesel? How much space do you need? How important is having a bathroom on board to you? Do you have children? Furry or of the human kind? Will you be sharing the driving responsibilities? If so, will everyone be comfortable with the RV style choice? All you have to do is start clicking and get to picking Roadbums!
