RV? ABC or..... V? Huh???
"A" is for Alpha (aka: Monster), "B" is for Baby, "C" is for Cabbie, and "V" is for, you guessed it, Van ~ which is just another Baby! I should mention that I made up the "V" class. My way of diagnosticating... for whatever reason I couldn't keep them straight. I refer to the "C" as a Cabbie because of the compartment that sits overtop of the front "cab." Hey, whatever works, right? I'd be willing to bet after reading this YOU will be able to keep your RV Classes straight as well! You're welcome...
When it comes to making this decision it's not a difficult one for Tone and I, however, it seems to be a hot subject of debate for a lot of people. We already know that we want something small for a number of reasons. Affordability and maneuverability being the top 2. Regardless of the class anyone is considering, one thing's for certain, they're all pricey! Now more than ever! And get this... some of the smallest classes quite often outprice some of the largest! With more and more "Roadbums" taking to the streets the demand is higher than ever. Downsizing and chasing a more simplistic lifestyle is quite the rage. Yes, I tend to routinely wield the term "the rage" but for me it best describes what's going on in these new nomadic times of now.
Over the past couple of years I have done a ton of research. I have watched an unprecedented amount of YouTube videos and read countless articles. I have approached RVer's in parking lots and have even been invited in a time or two to be given some grand tours! By NO means does this make me an expert but I can hold a decent conversation to fool a few people! In doing so, I have some points of reference that I'd like to share. If for anything else ~ to steer all that are interested in a good direction and learn about the vehicles that can turn you into a "Roadbum!"
Matt & Bearfoot are 2 of my favorite "Go To's." When I am looking for answers or in need of some inspiration, these 2 never let me down. Bearfoot Theory, among having many other areas of great resource, is perfect for "VanLife" with its own dedicated page which is why it is an obvious choice for me. Kristen's BT is an impressive destination that is sure to keep you coming back. Matt is a bona fide pro when it comes to all things RV. He consistently posts reviews and his whimsical charm will keep you entertained! Polar opposites and both well worth a peek! There are endless avenues of information and points of reference "out there" and I can say that from hands on experience. For all that ~ giving these two a whirl is a great place to start!
