"Get in, put her in drive...

Plan some spontaneity & let the magic begin!"  My personal words of wisdom that have brought me immeasurable delight throughout my life!

Are you a Roadbum?  Do you toss and turn the night before an anticipated roadtrip?  Do you jump out of bed, push the “brew” button on your coffeemaker before it’s previously programmed time?  Do you first jump in your vehicle (whatever that may be!), pull out of your driveway, THEN contemplate where you’re headed?...

Oh, wait, that’s me!

I'm truly enjoying Florida and meeting new people every single day!  In doing so, I am consistently getting suggestions and recommendations on places to visit and things to do.  Which I love!  I am constantly adding to my "Roadtrip list" and believe me it's growing fast!  There's SO much going on around here ALL THE TIME... so I forsee many splendid "mini roadtrips" in the future!

As far back as I can remember I was always the child that didn’t care where it was, how long it took to get there, or even if it was safe to go or not!  I was going!  Most of the places I had to wait until I was old enough to “scheme” myself.  Once that day arrived, oh boy, there was no stopping me.  From moving to D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Myrtle Beach, Nashville, Florida,,, I had the RDBM Bug!  One of the most cherished roadtrips I’ve ever taken was a 2-month trip across this divine country of ours with one of my very best friends!  If I start ~ I won’t stop ~ so I’ll end it there.

My point to this RoadBlog was to get, not only myself “geared up” for new adventures in Florida but ignite that fire under all your Roadbums to “Get in, put her in drive, plan some spontaneity and let the magic begin!”  Because you never know what’s around that next bend.  Don’t put it off.  Just jump in and go!  See where you end up.  Take in the amazing scenery.  Get off that exit and turn down that road you were always so curious about.  You may happen upon that quaint lil' diner that blows away ANY big chain.  Pull into that unfamiliar craft brewery, ditch those "Miller Lite Thoughts" and try something different.  You may surprise yourself!  Tone did years ago and became a craft brewer for a stint!  Partake in a tasting at one of the many lovely wineries that are pretty much everywhere these days ~ even if you don't drink wine!  Wine not?  And last but not least, you NEVER know who you might meet!  We've met some pretty cool peeps and made some lifelong friends out there.  So, hope to see you down the road...

My goal is to have some great "subject matter" from a few very anticipated roadtrips for the next RoadBlog... so, stay tuned!
